Spartanburg City Fire Department announced the passing of Retired Sergeant Wilbur Ellisor. Sergeant Ellisor served for 25 years, starting his firefighting career in 1973 and retiring in 1998 as the Sergeant and Driver of Engine 5 in the Hillcrest community. He exemplified the highest standards of service at the Spartanburg Fire Department. The department extends its deepest condolences and gratitude to Sergeant Ellisor's family for the privilege of serving alongside him. Sergeant Ellisor has been honored as the honorary 4th firefighter on Hillcrest Engine 65 and will always be remembered as part of the Spartanburg Fire Department family.
