On September 9, 2024, at around 5:00pm, Spartanburg Police Department officers responded to a shooting at 201 Powell Mill Road, Crown Point Apartments. A male inside his apartment was hit by a stray bullet in the stomach. The victim witnessed a fight between juveniles outside when shots were fired. The juveniles fled before police arrived, and no other injuries were reported. The victim's injuries were not life-threatening, and he did not require transportation to a hospital. Investigators are interviewing witnesses and pursuing those involved. Anonymous tips can be given to Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIMESC or the Spartanburg Police Department.
