Ithaca Police Department Holds Successful Wellness Challenge

The Ithaca Police Department in Ithaca, NY, recently participated in a Wellness Challenge that took place from July to August. The initiative focused on promoting health and wellness among department members.

Throughout the challenge, the teams collectively burned over 51,240 calories. They also logged more than 200 miles biking, over 300 miles running, and over 320 miles walking.

Participants earned bonus points for trying out local gyms, including Orange Theory, Crunch, and FLX. Officers Bliss and Dupay secured first place, while Officers DelSontro and Stypulkowski took second place.

The department shared photos from some of the hikes, featuring a couple of dogs as well.
