Empowering Students at Lafayette Community High School

Staff Report / Buffalolocal.org

**Launching Futures at Lafayette International Community High School**

Founded in 2018, the Launch at Lafayette program is designed to support newly arrived high school students in their academic endeavors and future planning. The program focuses on three key areas:

1. **High School Success** - Assisting students in achieving their academic goals.

2. **Financial Empowerment** - Partnering with organizations like Junior Achievement and Good Neighbors FCU to provide financial education.

3. **Workforce Development** - Offering career exploration opportunities and field trips to help students understand potential career paths.

In addition, the program features Girls Clubs, which provide a safe environment for female students to discuss the changes they experience in their lives.

The program runs Monday through Thursday from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, encouraging participation to enhance students' school experience and overall development.

Parents interested in enrolling their child can reach out to Kimberly Sims via email at ksims@wedibuffalo.org.
