Union County Hosts Gun Surrender Program October 5

The Union County Prosecutor's Office, along with several local law enforcement agencies, is hosting a Gun Surrender Program on Saturday, October 5, 2024. The program will run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and will allow residents to surrender firearms, ammunition, and prescription drugs without any questions asked.

Surrendered items can be dropped off at multiple locations throughout Union County, including:

- **Berkeley Heights**: Town Hall, 29 Park Ave.

- **Clark/Westfield**: Holy Trinity Church, 512 Westfield Ave., Westfield

- **Cranford**: Public Works Roundhouse, 364 E. North Ave.

- **Elizabeth**: Snyder Academy, 42 Broad St.

- **Fanwood/Scotch Plains**: St. Bartholomew's Church, 2023 Westfield Ave., Scotch Plains

- **Garwood**: Borough Hall, 403 South Ave.

- **Hillside**: Additional location details not specified.

The Cranford Police Department will also participate in the event at the Public Works Roundhouse parking lot at 364 North Avenue East. Officers will be present for the duration of the event to facilitate the surrender process.
