**Hillsborough Fire Rescue Assists Charlotte County Firefighters After Hurricane Helene**

Hillsborough Fire Rescue (HCFR) has deployed its Peer Support Team to provide assistance to Charlotte County firefighters affected by Hurricane Helene. Over the course of three days, the team visited all 22 fire stations in Charlotte County, offering support, resources, and a listening ear to those impacted by the hurricane.

In addition to the Peer Support Team, chaplains and K9 therapy dogs were present to help comfort the firefighters. Clinicians were also on standby to provide additional support if needed.

HCFR expressed pride in being able to assist neighboring fire departments during this difficult time, as they returned to their home base in Hillsborough County.
