Van Thang from Ed White High School has been named the 1010XL Scholar-Athlete of the Week. This recognition was announced by Duval County Public Schools.

Van was recently featured live on the radio, where he discussed his plans for college and shared details about his academic and athletic achievements. He was joined by radio hosts Frank Frangie and Hays Carlyon during the announcement.

In his athletic career, Van participates in football, soccer, and track, and maintains a GPA of 3.28. His accomplishments include being a three-time Soccer MVP and a two-time Football Special Teams Player of the Game. In addition to sports, he is active in several clubs, including the Royal Court, Student Government Association, and JROTC. He has also contributed 50 hours of community service, primarily through volunteering with Ed White Athletics.
