Fire Breaks Out at HG Supply Company

A fire broke out at the HG Supply Company in Alliance, located in the 3300 block of Texas Sage Trail, just before 12:15 PM today. The Fort Worth Fire Department received multiple calls alerting them to the situation.
Upon arrival, firefighters observed flames coming from around the chimney on the restaurant's roof. Employees reported that they could smell and see smoke coming from the vents inside the building. All 50 employees and 35 patrons evacuated safely as the alarms sounded.
Due to the size of the building and difficulties in reaching the main fire, incident commanders called for a second alarm to bring additional resources. The fire was successfully brought under control in approximately 45 minutes.
One firefighter sustained a minor injury and was transported to the hospital for treatment. The Fort Worth Fire Department's Arson Division has determined that the fire was accidental in nature.
