**Scrap Tire Collection Event Scheduled in Fort Worth**
The City of Fort Worth's Environmental Services Department will host a Scrap Tire Collection event on Saturday, November 16, 2024. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the East Regional Library Parking Lot, located at 6301 Bridge Street, Fort Worth, TX 76112.
This event is free and open to the public. The goal is to discourage illegal dumping, reduce fire hazards, and recycle tires into reusable materials.
Accepted items include:
- Tires from all types of passenger vehicles, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, and SUVs.
- Rims are accepted, preferably separated from the tires.
- Participants are asked to remove oils, dirt, water, and paint from the tires before disposal.
Please note that tires from commercial vehicles or 18-wheelers will not be accepted.
