**Local Mystery Author Amanda Flower to Attend Akron Book Fest on March 8**

The Akron-Summit County Public Library has announced that Amanda Flower, a USA Today bestselling and two-time Agatha Award-winning mystery author, will be appearing at the annual Akron Book Fest on March 8. Flower, known for her more than fifty mystery novels, will join 75 other authors, illustrators, and publishers at the popular community event.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear Flower share insights about her writing process during the panel discussion, “Unraveling the Mystery,” alongside fellow mystery authors Connie Laux, Julie Anne Hatcher, and Kathy Long. The session will offer an in-depth look at the techniques and experiences that shape their storytelling.

Amanda Flower’s impressive career includes several acclaimed series such as *Beechwood Harbor Magic Mysteries* and her debut Emily Dickinson Mystery, *Because I Could Not Stop for Death*, which earned an Agatha Award and a Mary Higgins Clark nomination. Her works have been praised by *Library Journal*, *Publishers Weekly*, and *Romantic Times*. Over the years, she has also been featured in publications like *USA Today*, *First for Women*, and *Woman’s World*.

Flower, a former librarian, lives in Northeast Ohio with her husband, where they run a farm and recording studio. Known for her engaging narratives and creative storytelling, she continues to produce novels with publishers such as Penguin Random House, Kensington, and Sourcebooks.

The Akron Book Fest presents an exciting opportunity for fans to connect with Flower and discover the work of other talented creators in the literary world. Panels and workshops, like “Unraveling the Mystery,” are seated on a first-come, first-served basis.
