**Wake County Public Schools Honors First-Year Teachers of the Year**

The Wake County Public School System in Apex, North Carolina, has announced the winners of its 2024-25 Diane Kent-Parker First-Year Teachers of the Year awards. Four educators across elementary, middle, high school, and special education levels were recognized for their exceptional contributions during their first year of teaching.

The honorees are:

- **Olivia Denbo**, 2nd Grade, Fuller Magnet Elementary School

- **Cailin DeLeo**, Social Studies, Athens Drive Magnet High School

- **Molly Todd**, ECS III, West Millbrook Magnet Middle

- **Chris Tuggle**, 7th Grade English Language Arts, Herbert Akins Road Middle School

Superintendent Taylor and the “Surprise Patrol” personally visited each teacher at their respective schools to present the awards and gifts in celebration of their achievement. These teachers were commended for demonstrating grace, skill, and confidence during their inaugural year in the profession, serving as role models for peers and inspiring their students.
