**Award-Winning Author Justin Eisinger to Appear at Akron Book Fest**

Akron, Ohio – Renowned author Justin Eisinger is set to participate in the Akron Book Fest on March 8. Best known for co-authoring the Eisner Award-winning graphic memoir *They Called Us Enemy* with George Takei, Eisinger has made a name for himself as a New York Times bestselling author and a creative force in adapting pop culture to print. His award-winning works, including adaptations of television and film, explore the intricacies of how the world operates.

Eisinger will join authors Joanna Wilson, DX Ferris, and Mark Dawidziak for the “Pop Culture Unplugged” panel. Moderated by Jenn Kidd, the panel will delve into how writing can reflect and incorporate television, movies, music, and cultural trends. This insightful discussion is part of the broader lineup at the Akron Book Fest and will provide an engaging opportunity for attendees to explore the connections between pop culture and literature.

Currently a resident of Ohio, Eisinger moved to the area after years spent in San Diego. In addition to his literary pursuits, he publishes North America's only inline skating magazine. His highly anticipated upcoming book, *It Rhymes With Takei*, is slated for release in June.

The Akron Book Fest is hosted by the Akron-Summit County Public Library, with all panels and workshops available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information about the festival lineup, visit akronlibrary.org.
