**Akron Area YMCA Launches Week of Giving to Support Community Programs**

The Akron Area YMCA has initiated its "Week of Giving," encouraging community members to contribute monthly donations to support local families and programs. The organization highlighted the impact of these donations through a breakdown of their use:

- **$5 per month** provides swim and safety classes to 2nd and 3rd-grade students.

- **$10 per month** helps offset the cost of memberships for families facing financial challenges.

- **$25 per month** sends a child to camp.

Contributions are set to continue through December 2025 unless donors request otherwise. Supporters can fill out a donation card available at the YMCA branches or visit their website at [akronymca.org/give](http://akronymca.org/give) to make a contribution.

The Akron Area YMCA expressed its gratitude to those who have already donated, stating these funds make a difference in building strong facilities and offering vital programs for the community.

For those interested in participating, completed donation cards can be returned to the YMCA’s front desk. The organization encourages members to join in the effort to strengthen the community during this Week of Giving and beyond.
