AKRON, OH - Mayor Malik, alongside his Cabinet, will host a townhall event on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at East CLC, located at 80 Brittain Road. The event will provide an overview of the proposed 2025 operating budget and offer Akron residents an opportunity to participate in small group discussions with city officials.

A short presentation will kick off the evening featuring remarks from Mayor Malik, Finance Director Steve Fricker, and Deputy Finance Director Mike Wheeler. The presentation will outline the proposed budget and its focus areas: Public Safety, Core City Services, Strategic Initiatives, and Fiscal Responsibility.

Following the presentation, attendees will break into small groups to discuss each of these key budget priorities.
