Akron Suspect Escapes Armed Dirt Bike Robbery

Akron police are asking for help in identifying a suspect involved in an aggravated robbery. According to police reports, the incident took place in the 500 block of Marview Ave. The victim had arranged a meeting via Facebook Marketplace to sell his yellow 2006 Suzuki RM85 2-stroke dirt bike. While the suspect was inspecting the dirt bike, he reached inside his hooded sweatshirt, indicating he was armed with a gun. The suspect then fled on the dirt bike, riding north on Marview Ave. The victim pursued the suspect in his personal vehicle but lost sight of him near the intersection of Patterson Ave. and York St.

Anyone with information about the crime or the suspect is asked to contact Akron Police Detective J.
