Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY, held commemorative events today to remember September 11 and honor the bravery of first responders. On the campus Quad, members of Kappa Alpha Society placed flags in memory of those who lost their lives. In the Scandling Campus Center, Will Hogan ’26 hosted a “Remembrance and Reflection” table. The City of Geneva also held a commemorative ceremony at Long Pier. Three HWS alumni—Andrew H. Golkin ’93, Scott W. Rohner ’01, and Michael J. Simon ’83, P’11, P’13—who died in the 9/11 attacks are honored on campus with a memorial plaque at the Abbe Center for Jewish Life.
