Geneva Library Celebrates Thanksgiving; Maya’s Alice Memories

Geneva Public Library in Geneva, NY shared a Thanksgiving greeting with the community. The library is closed for the holiday so staff can celebrate with family, friends, and good food. However, patrons can access a wide selection of ebooks and audiobooks any time through the Libby app.

In a separate note, details about Maya indicate that as a little girl she enjoyed watching Disney’s version of Alice in Wonderland. Maya’s favorite part of the movie was the scene where Alice grew too big to fit inside the White Rabbit’s house, causing her arms and legs to extend out the windows and her head to crash through the roof while onlookers reacted around her. Maya remembered this moment vividly, often asking her parents to rewind the scene repeatedly.
