Wake County approves $23.5 million for 12 sports, arts projects
The Wake County Board of Commissioners approved $23.5 million in funding to support 12 sports, arts and cultural projects across nine municipalities, funded by Hospitality Tax revenue.
The projects include a skate park in the Town of Wake Forest, soccer fields in the Town of Zebulon and a performance stage in the Town of Apex, among others.
The investments aim to expand facilities, attract tournaments and performances, increase overnight visitation and strengthen Wake County’s tourism economy while enhancing residents’ quality of life.
Projects range from athletic fields and aquatic center upgrades to arts venues and museum improvements.
