Advisory Committee on Apprenticeship Meets to Discuss Expansion

Yesterday, the Advisory Committee on Apprenticeship (ACA) convened at PA CareerLink Pittsburgh Downtown. The meeting focused on discussions and site tours to explore ways to expand apprenticeship opportunities.
Keynote speakers at the event included Ed Gainey, the Mayor of Pittsburgh, and José Javier Rodríguez, the Assistant Secretary of the Employment and Training Administration. The panel, moderated by Susie Puskar, Chief Operating Officer of Partner4Work, featured notable figures such as Felicity Williams, Deputy Chief of Staff for the Office of Mayor Ed Gainey; Kerry McQuone, Chief Marketing Officer of GrayMatter; Rachel Mauer, from the German American Chamber of Commerce Pittsburgh Chapter; Tara Loew, Director of the Apprenticeship and Training Office at the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry; and Robert Cherry, CEO of Partner4Work and ACA Chairperson.
The ACA's ongoing mission is to create equitable career pathways through apprenticeships, enhancing workforce development efforts in Pittsburgh and other regions.
