Air Quality Monitoring Near Rosemary Blvd Concludes Safely

**Mayor Malik Provides Update on Air Quality Monitoring Near Rosemary Blvd**

The City of Akron has announced an update regarding air quality monitoring conducted after the fire at 1081 Rosemary Blvd, which occurred on Thursday, September 5. Air quality has been continuously monitored since the incident, and no unsafe levels of airborne contaminants have been detected during this period.

As a result of these findings, the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Summit County Public Health (SCPH), and the City of Akron have decided to discontinue air quality monitoring in the area.

In addition to air monitoring, water quality samples will continue to be collected daily as preliminary results are awaited. This is particularly important as fire suppression materials ran off into a nearby creek, which flows into Long Lake, located three miles away. It should be noted that Long Lake is not a source of drinking water.

For more details on the air quality findings, residents can access the summary data through the City of Akron's website.
