Boss Park Ribbon Cutting Celebrates Community Improvements

The City of Akron hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Boss Park, which saw a strong turnout. The event was attended by Deputy Director of Public Service Eufrancia Lash, who extended congratulations on behalf of the Mayor's Office.
Boss Park, awarded the 2022 Akron Parks Challenge, has undergone several improvements. The enhancements include two outdoor classroom spaces—an amphitheater and circle seating shaded by a sail—as well as native plant meadows designed to attract local wildlife such as birds and insects.
Additional features include a drinking fountain for both people and pets, a nature play space, a new kiosk for neighborhood announcements, and walkways for visitors to enjoy the park. The event recognized the contributions of community partners and sponsors in beautifying this space in Akron.
