Staff Report / Lindenlocal.org

The City of Linden will host its 5th Annual Polish Festival on September 21, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a rain date scheduled for September 22. The festival will take place in front of Linden City Hall, located at 301 North Wood Avenue, and at the Raymond Wood Bauer Promenade, 400 North Wood Avenue, Linden, NJ.

The event is free and aims to bring the Polish community together, featuring live Polish music, a DJ, and performances by Polish rock bands, including Dzieci PRL-u and SOVA. There will be activities for children, along with a variety of authentic Polish food options. A beer and wine tent and Polish vendors will also be present.

The festival is being held under the honorary patronage of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York.

For attendees, be aware that North Wood Avenue will be closed to truck traffic between Elizabeth Avenue and Blancke Street, and to all traffic between Blancke Street and Elm Street starting at 8:00 AM. West Blancke Street will also be closed between Wood Avenue and Helen Street. Visitors are advised to follow posted parking restrictions and anticipate increased pedestrian traffic.
