Jeff Bekos visited Akron, Ohio, as part of his cross-country cycling journey, titled "One Dad's Mission." He is biking across the country to raise awareness and express gratitude for the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), which supported his family during his daughter's illness.

Akron marked his 19th stop out of 26, and he will complete a total of 4,600 miles by the end of his trip. During his visit, Richelle Wardell, the Education and Health Strategist for Akron, presented Bekos with a Proclamation declaring October 1st as "One Dad's Mission: Ronald McDonald House Charities Northeast Ohio Day" in the city. Additionally, a representative from Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro also presented him with a Proclamation.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Ohio has been supporting families in the Akron area for 45 years. The City of Akron expressed its gratitude for the work of RMHC and thanked Jeff and his wife, Liz, for sharing their story during their visit.
