Boise Fire Station #5 Officially Opens Today

Staff Report / BoiseLocal.org

Today, Boise Fire celebrated the grand opening of Fire Station #5 in Downtown Boise. This new fire station replaces the city’s oldest operating fire station, which has been situated in the same location for many years. The site has hosted four fire stations throughout its history, making it significant to Boise Fire’s past.

The new facility features a historical museum dedicated to Boise Fire, showcasing artifacts from the department's establishment in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Members of the public are invited to tour the new station and meet the firefighters serving the downtown community.
