Boise State University Hits Record Enrollment Again

Boise State University has reported its highest-ever student enrollment for fall 2024, totaling 27,250 students. This marks an increase of 2%, or 523 students, compared to the previous fall. The growth is primarily seen in degree-seeking undergraduates, where Idaho's enrollment rose by 657 students, representing a 6.5% increase.

First-time undergraduate student enrollment from Idaho reached a record of 2,185, which is an 11.5% increase from last year, making it the largest incoming class of Idaho students in the university's history. Since 2020, new Idaho students have increased by over 51%.

Dr. Marlene Tromp, the university president, stated that the enrollment reflects the institution's commitment to serving the state of Idaho and providing opportunities for individuals to achieve their goals and contribute to local communities.

In addition to rising enrollment, Boise State is also experiencing a record number of graduates. In the 2023-24 academic year, a total of 5,464 students completed a degree or certificate, an increase of 230 students, or more than 4%, from the previous year. Among these graduates, 3,964 earned bachelor's degrees, which is also a 2.7%, or 105-student, increase compared to last year.
