Honoring Officer Craig Lehner's Legacy and Sacrifice

The Buffalo Police Department is commemorating Officer Craig Lehner, who passed away on October 13, 2017, during a training dive in the Niagara River. Officer Lehner was a key member of the Underwater Recovery Team and was also a K-9 handler. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard before his time with the police department.

In remembrance of Officer Lehner, the department highlights his contributions to both the police force and the community. His legacy is honored through the Lt. Craig E. Lehner K9 Training Facility, which serves as a tribute to his dedication to his work. The department expresses its support for Officer Lehner's family, friends, and colleagues on this day of remembrance.
