October Weather: Warm Days Ahead in New York

The weather in Western New York is expected to warm up as October draws to a close. The National Weather Service in Buffalo reported slightly below normal temperatures for the month so far. Here are the temperature departures for various cities through October 18, 2024:

- Buffalo: -0.1°F

- Rochester: -1.7°F

- Watertown: -2.0°F

Fair and warm weather is anticipated today and on Sunday, with temperatures expected to rise further from Monday through Wednesday. However, the forecast indicates that temperatures will drop back to seasonal coolness with occasional showers from Wednesday night through Friday.

Looking ahead to the 8-14 day outlook, temperatures are projected to trend above normal, suggesting that the warm weather pattern may return by the end of the month.
