Wake County Schools Celebrate Music, Diverse Industry Leaders

Wake County Public Schools in Apex, North Carolina is celebrating instrumental music as part of Arts in Our Schools Month. Audrey Yosai, band director at Oberlin Magnet Middle, explained that key morning announcements have been used to highlight the accomplishments of underrepresented professionals in the music industry. She noted that seventh-grade students celebrated the successes of ECDBA MS MPA, and eighth-grade students will be participating next week. Additionally, all band students have taken part in the Marine's sponsorship of Sousa's March Mania.
