Wake County Holds Homeless Memorial on Winter Solstice
Wake County Government invites community members to join a public memorial in remembrance of individuals who experienced homelessness. The event will take place on the winter solstice, Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 7:15 p.m. at the South Wilmington Street Center located at 1420 S. Wilmington St. in Raleigh, North Carolina.
During the ceremony, the names of those who died while experiencing or having experienced homelessness will be read aloud. Community members who are unable to attend in person may view the memorial via a Facebook livestream.
