Remembering Officer Jacob Hancher: A True Hero

Today marks the fourth anniversary of the death of Police Officer Jacob Hancher, who passed away in the line of duty on October 3, 2020. Hancher, who was born on July 24, 1997, is remembered for his sacrifice for the community, his colleagues, and his family.

The Myrtle Beach Police Department commemorated Officer Hancher, stating that his story, laughter, and kindness will continue to be honored in both the department and the community he served. Hancher’s legacy remains significant to those who knew him, as well as the wider community he dedicated his life to protecting.
