Wake County Hosts 42nd Annual Pieces of Gold

Wake County Public Schools in Apex, North Carolina, hosted its 42nd Annual Pieces of Gold Performance on March 5 at the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts. The event marked Arts in Our Schools Month and featured more than 700 students from nearly 50 schools. Organized by the WCPSS Arts Education Department, which started the program in 1981, the performance showcased dance, theatre, and music through a collaborative, non-competitive format. The event highlighted the district’s commitment to arts education, with over 660 arts educators supporting student programs across every school in the district.
