High Street in Akron, Ohio, this safe zone is available 24/7, with a uniformed officer and surveillance cameras in the lobby to ensure personal safety. Officials emphasize the importance of avoiding transactions involving weapons, drugs, or alcohol. In case the safe zone is not an option, the department offers safety tips, including meeting in public places, not going alone, and trusting your instincts. The presence of an officer in the safe zone is solely for security purposes and will not intervene in transactions unless a criminal issue arises.
