Akron Police Seek Help in Identifying Theft Suspect

Akron Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying a theft suspect involved in a crime that took place on August 8, 2024, at the 1200 block of Firestone Parkway. The suspect was caught trespassing and stealing scrap with another white male accomplice. They attempted to flee the scene on an ATV but were unable to start it, forcing them to flee on foot. Anyone with information or who can identify the suspect(s) is urged to contact Akron Police Detective Shea Flaherty at 330-375-2464, the APD Tip Line at 330-375-2TIP, or Summit County Crimestoppers at 330-434-COPS (2677). Callers can remain anonymous, and tips can also be submitted through the Akron PD app or via text to 274637 (CRIMES). If the suspect is spotted, individuals are advised not to approach but instead call 911.
