Brown St. intersection closed for water main construction

The Akron Police Department announced that starting tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11th, access to and from Brown St. at the intersection of Brown St. and E. Exchange St. will be closed. This closure is due to construction by Kenmore Construction Co. and the City of Akron, who are working on installing a new water main along the south side of E. Exchange St. During this time, traffic will be diverted using E. Exchange St., Grant St., E. Thornton St., Brown St., and the reverse route. The construction is expected to be completed, and the intersection reopened to all traffic by the end of the day on Friday, September 13th. Remember to always stay focused, be aware, and follow traffic rules when driving in the area.
