Free Home Safety Checks Available in Cayuga County

Cayuga County is offering a free home safety check program for residents interested in enhancing their home safety. Individuals can call 315-253-5550 or visit cayugacounty.us to schedule their home safety check.
The program includes no-cost supplies and services that focus on various aspects of home safety, including fire and carbon monoxide safety, residential safety, indoor air quality, and lead paint concerns. This service is available for residents living in Auburn, Cayuga, Mentz, Montezuma, or Throop.
Additionally, Cayuga County's Healthy Neighborhoods Program is providing support for pregnant individuals through the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program.
The Cayuga County Health Department recently held a Parent Information Night for families of third and fifth graders in Union Springs, where they provided useful health information. They are scheduled to attend Auburn Junior High School, Weedsport Elementary School, and will return to Union Springs for families of second graders.
